"Before you" is a new venture, created at the beginning of January 2005. It was designed after quite a new concept. You will notice 5 identical small houses with distinct façade colours: blue, pink, red, sand and yellow.
The small house {from 1994} is the most charming project in the author’s career. This house was one of the 12 in the “World Project Just Married”. The small one-storey house {80 m2} can be placed in a 7×7 m frame.
The biggest attractions of the house are: 1... 2.40×2.40 m dome {which can be opened when the weather is nice} and 2... glass cages on four corners {1.20×1.20 m, 7 m high}. These are the house windows. The cages contain lianas and birds. These might be canaries, parrots, nightingales and... sparrows, the prettiest birds in the world, in the author’s opinion.
The “Village of Peace” with 5 identical small houses and two ground-floor structures left and right from the entrance require a space of 50×50 m. The author wants each house to have a specific purpose: the first house would be a meeting place for writers, the second would be intended for architects and town planners, the third for fine and applied artists, the fourth for musicians and singers, the fifth for film artists. Scientists would be guests by invitation and would introduce themselves before “hosts” of any of the five houses. Sociologists, philosophers, politicians, world peace activists, public workers, volunteers of different orientations would have the same status as scientists – they would be guests by invitation.
Finally, an explanation that there are two ground-floor structures {7×14 m at the base each} in the entrance to the complex area. On the roof of one there is a pool, on the roof of the second a garden with benches where people can leisurely sit and chat! Below the pool is a restaurant, and below the garden a space for seminars and weddings, with small niches for a boutique, a drugstore, flower shop, a travel agency counter. A passarella bridge connects the pool with the garden.
The author believes that development of an elite social center “The Village of Peace” is possible in any country. Construction and furnishing of all buildings, landscaping of the yard and roof terraces of two facilities near the entrance would not cost more than US$ 3 million.
The aim is to make the “Village of Peace” become a tiny international center of good-willed people. And that identical centers be built all over the world... It would be only natural that the first center is built in Belgrade and in the donor’s city. Donors... let’s hear you!
