The beauty of a clever design scheme lies in its invisibility. The principle aim of this scheme is only to preserve and perpetuate beauty in its natural form of drama and picturesqueness- to give the landscape room to grow into a living space. Poetry, practicality and economy are employed in combination to retain the nature of the site and grow the design interventions on it naturally instead of imposing them in a top down approach. Using a challenging milieu of tradition and technology, the project poses critical questions with regard to the idea of sustainability and the levels of design interventions truly demanded by the concept.
The vacation house is designed for a family of 7 people which is located at the sub urban/industrial area near Dhaka. Climatic responsiveness is considered as the primary key which is also the driving force behind the aesthetics. Framing the views of the site has also been thought very carefully. At the end of the day, it was always in mind that, it would be place of peace and serenity.
