The Stone house is for a family of four. A couple with 2 daughters. Being in Pakistan, the family hierarchy with daughters, Privacy and Security were major concerns. The idea was to give a rural feel in urban settings. Rustic Feel, using the vernacular materials around. The family wanted a Turkish Prayer room. The play of natural light and wind has been a special challenge in this house. Its a small house, in three levels. and each Room reflects the requirements of the occupants, but within the rustic feel.

The plot size is 50x90, in which the covered area is 5600 sft. the challenge was the stone walls and the cantilevered porch. to light the basement well in this small space, facing the challenges the by law of the defence area stated. To give an open feeling in this 5 bedroom house, Master, Lounge, guest bed and dinette and 2 kitchens on ground floor. Besement includes the formal area housing the drawing ,dining,, Pantry kitchens, and patios. First floor comprises of @ daughters bedrooms with dressing and baths, lounge, linen cabinets, Maids room and bathroom, laundry and Servant quaters.
