As a major exercise targeting modern architectural heritage in Lebanon. We have selected the theme of the “Rashid karami international Fair” in Tripoli .Designed by architect Oscar Niemeyer in 1962 , it is a one of the most magnificent sites, yet ignored and endangered , it occupies around one square kilometer of land in the heart of the Mediterranean city of Tripoli. Construction has been completed in 1975 at the time of the beginning of civil war, and since then, apart from minor partial usage, the fair never operated fully.
Under the patronage of the order of engineers and architects in Beirut and Tripoli, ten public and private architecture schools and faculties participate in this nation-wide brainstorming about the future of the fair.
