Concept
Serendipity fosters innovation.
The Centers residency program provides scholars, artists, writers, scientists, policymakers and development professionals from Pakistan and around the world, an opportunity to pursue ideas and engage others in their work. The conference program should give what many institutions call "convening power": the ability to bring diverse participants from around the world together to share ideas, debate and collaborate. The Center offers a one-month (or shorter) stay for 15 residents at a time to work uninterrupted under the un-usual professional and personal demands.
NUHA designed the spaces in a manner that maximum interaction can happen without compromising on privacy of personal space. The bold form of the building is derived from ‘M’ of Murree. Use of red pitched roof relates the modern approach to the traditional Murree’s skyline.
