The so-called Gäubahnroute makes a wreath of 5000m from the centre of Stuttgart up to the holiday area of the city. The project is about filling the space over the route with exclusive residential housing, and being still useful for the people as a qualitative walking-, cycle- and footpath.

With the terms “quality, relaxation and hike” you combine free- and green space, a strong green belt, which accents the urban region and intensifies the quality of living. So the conceptional idea is about bringing the forest into the city.

The birch tree is an optimal option to realize the project. The needful environmental conditions for these trees are in this region present. The birch does need only a little time of growing, also it offers an excellent shape. Slim,
long treetrunk with short branches.

The residential houses are going to be placed in a way that seems like they are fitting in an already existing forest. This means long-tight figures, passing through the trees. The houses are floating and the walk- and cycle-path goes underneath.
For the direct contact between nature and living are a lot of balconies and huge terraces planned. Room-high windows are letting the outside getting into the inside. A prefabricated system of steel-structure allows a more economical and fast process of building.
