This building was the result of an international architectural competition that was the winning entry and designed by Anthony C. Lewis Associates {now acla:works} in association Howell, Killick Partidge and Amis. The design attempts to minimise the scale of the project with the use of crenellated shape of the courts and clad in precast GRPC panels. The interior layout permits the discreet circulation of seven types of users while meeting emergency escape requirements
