A key task of architecture, perceived as design and construction, is to create spatial frameworks for human life. The activity of APA Kurylowicz & Associates’ architectural studio is focused on the implementation of this task as the first priority.

LOT {Polish Airlines}
The LOT building – Warsaw-based headquarters of the national carrier, LOT airlines, combines the discipline of high technologies characteristic of airline service with a romantic belief about the freedom of air travel, when apparently gravitation does not affect us any more, and distances lose their importance.

This message is expressed in several ways: through the interior spatial configuration in which elements of vertical and horizontal communication highlight dynamism and movement; through interior materials, providing an impression of depth and a multidimensionality thanks to reflections, reflected light, and accompanying illusions as well as through the very disciplined external form of a glass cuboid, where double glass closing the cube fulfills both modestly material and symbolic functions.

This defines the terrestrial address of a company operating in the sky, giving an opportunity for continuous presentation of all the elements which belong to the sky: clouds, sun, the blue of the sky, and, most frequently, a beautiful Mazovian grey shade .
The building, being an ordinary corporate building, has become an iconic place for media adverts in which modernity is highlighted.
the space occupied by vertical communications and by lift halls is the only indicator.
