SOMOS Digital new Shenzhen offices

Somos Digital, a growing "big small agency," recently needed to expand into a new larger office space with the goal of creating a versatile and efficient space that expresses the company's bold identity while providing a professional and not overwhelming vibe. The layout of the office was carefully planned to consider the existing structure, the basic needs of Somos' team, anticipate client flows, and maximize the interplay of natural daylight across the entire office.

Breaking away from the stiff geometry of the premises allowed for the development of a more interesting and human-friendly environment, as well as the empowerment of existing dynamics of the agency's work. The flexible spaces were organized as boxes within a box, providing a large main meeting room, booths for small rendezvous or online meetings, quiet multifunctional niches, efficiently hidden storage spaces, and a hybrid space for restoration and smart work.

One of the most iconic features of the office is the bold diagonal metal tunnel at the entrance. This unique feature serves as a filter between the reception and the open working space, and also pierces through the meeting room to generate a buffer element with its integrated slanted pantry counter. It becomes an instant landmark for the office and sets the tone for the rest of the space.

One of the most important aspects of the design was the ability to allow for simultaneous activities. The flexible workstations, individual operations, small consultations, on-site and remote meetings can all coexist without interfering with each other. This is crucial for the workflow of Somos Digital, as it allows for the agency to be efficient and productive.

The design of the office was not only functional, but also visually appealing. The use of natural light, coupled with the strategic placement of lighting fixtures, helps to create an inviting atmosphere. The incorporation of bold colors and unique textures also adds to the visual interest of the space, and helps to further express the company's brand identity.

Overall, the new office space for Somos Digital is a reflection of the company's forward-thinking mentality and dedication to creating a space that is both functional and visually appealing. The design takes into consideration the needs of the team, clients, and workflow, resulting in a space that is versatile, efficient, and uniquely Somos.
