Designed in collaboration with Damien Jackson.
Korma is the result of the rethinking of the core systems of high-rise buildings. It takes the standard core and structural system of a building and twists it around itself to create a branching hybrid between a distributed and central core system that is able to serve a mixed program tower efficiently. This new arrangement creates unexpected programmatic conditions running diagonally and asymmetrically through the building mass. This new mechanical and circulatory system is the main focus of the design that essentially extends and project out to the rest of the building {such as the cut-out scheme on the outer envelope} to create the final mass of the building.
