The space is designed for Ertürk Textile Denim Showroom in İstanbul Merter with signature of Pimodek Architecture and Design Studio which was founded by Arch MSc H. Basri Hamulu; rather than fabric display wrapped around a system in high shelves, having a post industrial cultural atmosphere beyond product stacking and by acting with the idea of exhibition of the rolled up fabrics in natural poses.
By choosing the metal, glass, wood and stone materials that fulfils the terms of modernism, industrialization, freedom and naturality which are the representative of denim, both conceptual and virtual enrichment gained and also origin of the concept determined.
The showroom, with an impact of a minimal industrial museum, strikingly welcomes the visitors, where the lighting effects applied as they are the supporter of main design elements. Product based lighting is achieved by choosing dark colors in the ceiling and the attitude for increasing the activity of exhibiting units is provided by using soft lights in the places except product stands.
Space and fabric relation is successfully reflected by the solution of simple color choices which is not competing with the richness of material. In the other spaces, glass seperations, natural stone covered surfaces, artificial flowers between the steel elements and furnitures in the harmony with the atmosphere are related with the concept and the effect in the showroom is strengthened.
