The WATER bar is located on the first floor of a small building on the site of the former factory "Moskovskiy Shelk" on a bank of the Moskva river. It is fitting that the spacious windows overlook the embankment, and the Zemlya restaurant occupies the second floor. Both places were designed and built by ARCHPOINT Bureau under the direction of Valery Lizunov.
The WATER bar epitomizes a large rock on the sand. The necessary shape of the stone was created by designers from plaster, the man-made composition of the bar occupies the central place in the room. The walls are lined with claydite-concrete blocks, more grainy in texture. The word "bar" is wrote on them by the artist, as if it was done with a finger on the sand. The white сolour is predominant and no bright colors are used — only one wall is painted in the dark water shade to enhance the feeling of underwater. The ceilings are made of crumpled mesh to create the effect of ripples on the water surface, as if you are looking at it from the deep. The restaurant entrance is shielded with a waterfall, and the bar interior is perfectly visible from the embankment thanks to the panoramic windows.
The bar is furnished with famous exhibition-winning chairs by the Italian Driade brand and tables were specially designed for them according to the Bureau author's drawings. The bar was also created by ARCHPOINT designers.
The WATER bar is part of a large concept that involves a chain of restaurants, which are named after the planets of the Solar system and are scattered across different parts of the world. In this case water becomes one of the four elements that rule the Earth, after which the restaurant on the floor above is named.
