We present the project - Borealis. The project name reflects our idea. bO(oxygen)realis = borealis. Have you ever heard or seen the borealis in the desert? Let's find the answer to this question in this community center, which attracts all residents with its glow and multi-comfort environment.

Borealis is visible from afar and it is a place of attraction and meetings for many people. It is a kind of landmark that is remembered in its own way and unites all people under its shell.

Just imagine, you can walk at any time of the day. As soon as you get under the shell you immediately find yourself in another place with a comfortable temperature, clean air and infrastructure. The building shell is made of grid fibre reinforced concrete. In addition to this material, surface cleaning depolluting technology is used to reduce air pollution by cars.
The spheres collect hot air from the room, thereby pushing it up. Due to a special woowen fabric membrane, the sphere gives off its energy in the form of a glow at night. The community center comes to life and creates the effect of the Borealis. The spheres (that are attached to the shell of the building ) are made using Solar Cloud technology. As the temperature increases, they rise up, thus they create additional shading and represent "ground art".

The main entrance to the community center causes associations and arouses interest in the history of this place. After all, the tower is a modern interpretation of the Malkaf wind tower. Transparent bricks diffuse the sun's rays and create a light-shadow effect.

The main goal of the project is to develop an innovative sustainable "living" public space. Borealis reflects the relationship with the sustainable development goals.

The project includes retail spaces, cafes, art space, SPA; exhibition, park and children's areas. To encourage children's learning opportunities, a playground has been designed, with changeable exhibitions. Waves (in the covering of the park) like ribbons show and set the direction of movement.The feature of the retail area is an aquarium in the floor of the building, which leads us to the SPA area.

Therefore, the public center becomes not just a city object, but also an object that benefits visitors, where it is pleasant to be not only in the evening, but also during the day. Borealis creates a rich active life not only for residents and office workers in the area, but also is open to everyone.

The "heart " of Borealis is the interpretation of the palm tree. It attracts and gives everyone the opportunity to participate in the cooling of public space. In addition, there is an elevator that leads to the observation platform. The upper coating of the palm and sphere is made using high-tech high-performance thin-film technology CIGS.
