EP BOOKS-Taipei

Our project idea is called Reading Life ,which locate on one of the most busy roads but quite alley in Taipei,’’EP-Books’’ provide a cozy space which can let urban people to relax and get rid of the noise and traffic . Our rationale of design intention is basic on Peaceful,Explore which combining bookstore, emerge live house, and cafe, the designer tried to breakthrough the traditional bookstore mode in each different way to make a bookstore not just a bookstore.
As for space and bookcase, overall tone is dark wood and black-based, simple color highlights the outline of space, more industrial style of rough and simple spirit. While the dark woody color of the ceiling of the black and the ground light, so monotonous lines in the visual more layered. Bookcase color tone low-key dark gray-based, warm light-colored pine bookcases with neat lines of iron, the background of the book cover colorful colors, so that bookcases and space tones are holistic, simple modern and a little retro texture, Set off the taste and atmosphere of reading.
Different from the traditional bookstore, designers set a high bar table next to the buffet beverage area, to create a relax space so the costumers can come here enjoy drinks and chat during visiting bookstore.
The color design concept is “Nature”, behind EP-Books is a quiet park, the designer designe open windows toward the park, not only made the whole space well ventilated but also brightened it with plenty natural lights. Unlike traditional bookstores, the loft interior design style made EP-Books much fashionable and relaxable. The designer struck a perfect balance between nature and modern, and that’s what makes EP-books so popular.
