Curvilinear volumes create a sheltered open street as the focal circulation space in this low rise school opening up towards a large playground.
All the classrooms are north oriented to mitigate heat gain in response to the hot climate of the location with temperatures in excess of 30 degrees C for 8 months of the year. The classrooms & corridors are cross ventilated & naturally lit reducing the dependency on artificial lighting and air conditioning & rendering the building energy efficient.
The central focal open landscaped street facilitates the south west winds to permeate the internal spaces of the school enhancing the wind movement by the tunnel effect.
Designed in response to the climate the Shree Learning Curve School is contextual & creates a series of open sheltered spaces to facilitate interaction among students & engage them in multiple ways.
