A place where peacefull pine forest within sight of the turbulent sea, where you hear the wind pass between the thin trees. We are above the village of Ponta do Pargo, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean in all its extension, but also the future golf course and the lighthouse, we find ourselves in a vast pine forest, facing South, gathering the light that cuts the thin trunks of trees. On a gentle slope, the project is developed through all the plot, having the village of Ponta do Pargo as a backdrop. Our initial impulse here is to build a house in a tree, so the exercise begins with the understanding of this place, its natural materials and their views.
The design seeks to extend the house by the vast area in which it occurs, through a set of plans that define and divide the housing program, linked by a common access. These volumes follow the slope of the terrain, and accentuate the bucolic character of this place looking for that light flows down the house through its natural movement. There is a source of entry facade, and a western facade, facing view, closing the day through a sunset in front of the house. The materials used are those found in the pine forest (wood and stone), and also brick and glass.
