In 2009 we were asked to design a garden pavilion to provide a breakfast facility to the hotel located in the listed manor house from begining of XIX century. Our intension was to create a form which in a subtle way will match the listed garden surroundings. Our starting point were analysis of historical garden pavilions which often refer to the classical circular greek temple. We used glulam lightweight construction to create an open space with full height glazing to provide spectacular view to the garden. Contemporary detail defines the time of building erection avoiding historical distortions.
