While most educational institutions are moving outside of urban agglomerations, The Terre-Sainte school has decided to sustain its presence as inner-city school. The targeted new development needed to integrate on one plot a Kindergarten, a 1000-student school and rentable retail/office space with an existing convent. The school would house all program requirements of a modern school including library, laboratories, computer rooms, sports facilities and a 400 seats theatre. Both land use and traffic strategies were devised in order to accommodate the school in a complex urban context and provide suitable conditions for its functioning.
