In an elevated site overlooking the Arabian Sea, we opted for a compact shape building utilizing the maximum height allowed so we could give full sea view to each room in the house. We were not afraid of using almost fully glazed front facing the sea, as the views are worth it. In order to cool the house the cantilever balconies would supply plenty of shade, together with providing cross ventilation in all rooms and a ventilation mechanism in the higher part of the staircase. This would meet the demands for shade and cool of most days. A/C would like in any other place take over when needed. Also, the master bedroom in the top floor has its own fully openable courtyard, which integrates and separates at the same time bedroom with walk in closet and bathroom.
