School Renovation Prototype Pedro Morales in Comerio, PR

With the future in our sights, we have created the School Renovation Prototype Pedro Morales in Comerio, PR. The project sets an example for conducting future renovations on school facilities in an efficient and innovative way. In Puerto Rico, a huge amount of public funding is invested in over one thousand educational facilities around the island; however, the inefficiency with which these investments are managed seriously compromises infrastructural and environmental quality. Surrounding communities lead most of the struggle against these unplanned interventions.

The school we selected as a model for renovations presented most of the typical problems found in our facilities. With the support of public representatives, the private sector, and local communities, we have begun the first phase of construction of this social and educational movement. Our solutions must consonate with the current state of the educational system, yet we must solve the problems of the present with our eyes to the future. Now is the time for evolution. Our commitment has driven us to propose ways to support our students, educators, and communities in path of education. Now is the time to bring up our facilities to the global standards of education through success, progress and determination.
