LUW

The project comprises only the facades of the LUW (Lubuski Urzad
Wojewódzki) building and the landscape design of the surrounding city
park.

The LUW building becomes the central focal point of the new city park,
which encompasses existing urban tissue. Light facades of the
surrounding buildings enhance the sensation of clarity. The park aims at
making the area nice to live, but also provide a quiet retreat for the
passers-by, who want to sit down and relax. The green area around the
LUW building enables to hold concerts or other local gatherings.

The proposed new facades of the LUW building consist of uniform glass
layer with individual windows separated only by thin silicon joints. The
structure of the facades is visible only from inside the building.
Furthermore, systems of sliding shutters are installed on the facades.
Depending on the requirements, one or several separate shutters may be
installed per rail. Additionally, photovoltaic semi-transparent solar
panels will be installed in some chosen points of the facades. They will
allow generating green electricity for the building.
