Kingsland Hub

Situated along New North Rd, connecting the Kingsland train station to Kingsland CBD, this mixed use pedestrian distribution hub consists of a multi-level public square, sheltered atrium spaces; a train station and art gallery.

Conceptualised as a network device - the manifestation of an internet community - with spaces that accomodate the temporal and transitional aspects of public liveliness.

Transluscent pedestrianised bridges disperse people to and from the Hub`s centre - the public square - where an interface situation is created.

The building consists of a cluster of spaces - sheltered over by a large tensile structure roof. This creates high atrium spaces - as a transition between the street and the interior. One can pass through from street to station without the need to enter a closed space.
