The programme for the new building of the Museum of Contemporary Art in Wroclaw foresees a visionary contemporary concept that integrates two main elements: the exhibition halls, which are conceived as neutral black boxes in order to focus on the art that will be shown within and to allow for a maximum of flexibility in its use, and a space for cultural encounter and exchange. It will thus become an open institution for the city and beyond. It stands for the contemporary perception of art as part of our reality, thus belonging into the public space for people to enjoy and debate ¬– an open house for Wroclaw.
