The concept picks up the geographical references on the dark northern side of the valley with an extremly hillside situation.
The cube consisting of blank aluminium meshed metal baffle rests on a natural stone socket. Four deeply cut in corner windows disrupt its proportion: Two are developing an optic relation to the medieval castle ruin called “Windeck”. The others are allowing a further view into the valley and catch the morning sun. The light plays an important role in the whole project: the cube reflects the daylight and changes its appearance hereby. By night it can be lit by LED underneath its metal façade.
At the socket level entrance, office and a garage are located. The kitchen and the living room are at the top level and open up to the terrace and the entrance to the famous “Exotenwald”, a wood which includes many old giant redwoods and other rare plants.
