Debuting at the Encore, Rock & Republic made its first stand-alone appearance in the world. Choosing to re-imagine the setting of its NY home-office SoHo loft, its architectural features broadcast a hip and edgy urban feel, and mimic the brand’s couture collection of men’s and women’s clothing. This is first seen in the façade’s patent-leather awning, artfully stitched together with metal lacing.
Adding to the brand’s personal statement, are a highly articulated white brick storefront and an interior wall of angled metal-mesh. Interior walls also feature occasional barcode-patterned wood, and recycled wood planks create the ceiling. Millwork throughout improbably consists of ebony stingray leather and chrome. Patent-leather display platforms contrast couture denim to great effect, and furniture that includes a Distant Origin “photo dog” chair attests to urban chic.
The design of this Rock & Republic, a world unto itself, intends to unequivocally project the confidence and strength of a brand secure in its style and identity.
