The 160 000 sq. ft. hotel is part of a larger addition, remodeling and renovation project for Mountain Resort and Spa complex, located in the picturesque Rodophe Mountains in Bulgaria. The building will accommodate 60 hotel rooms and 12 private recreational residences with common amenities. The public spaces {restaurant, spa, swimming pool, small conference center} and the private residences are following the sloped terrain, while the hotel rooms are forming a glass bar flying over the terraces. The roof top bar/café reveals stunning views towards the surrounding mountains and centuries-old forest. The photovoltaic array and the geothermal well system are just part of implemented program for energy preservation and represent the environmentally conscious design approach towards sustainable architecture.
