The Interieur Foundation organises its nineteenth consecutive prototypecompetition: the INTERIEUR 08 Design Competition, formerly known as`Design for Europe`. Centred on three thematic subjects, it focuses onnew, functional, creative and contemporary prototypes.

An international jury will include, amongst others, designers LouiseCampbell {DK} and Adam Goodrum {AU}, Philips Senior Creative DirectorOscar Peña {CO/NL} and captains of industry and CEOs Marnick Smessaert{BE} and Alasdhair Willis {UK}. They will examine the entries anddecide on the deserving winners. Eleven prominent companies aresponsoring prizes to a total value of 35,000 euro.

Apart from the honours, the prize money and the nominations, theinternational competition is also the ideal platform for buddingdesigners to be discovered. All entries will be on display during the21st Interieur Biennale, where they will be seen by potentialmanufacturers, professional visitors and the general public.

Previous editions featured more than 150 young designers. This year`scompetition again promises to feature highly creative designers aimingto conquer the markets. Twenty six international magazines fromBelgium, Germany, France, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Russia,Turkey, Spain, the United Kingdom and the United States are supportingthe competition.
