The Human Centred Design Institute (HCDI) brings together internationally recognised academics in ergonomics and human factors, augmented cognition systems, human centred design process, inclusive design, information architecture and perception enhancement systems. Human Centred Design can be defined as an approach that combines methodologies and technologies from design, engineering, computer science, artificial intelligence, philosophy, psychology and social sciences. It leads to systems, machines, and products which are physically, cognitively and emotionally intuitive to their users, thus enhancing well-being and empowering people. The scientific objectives of the HCDI are as follows:
