Business of Design Week 2013 Opening Ceremony

Queen Mathilde of Belgium to grace Asia’s largest design forum

Hong Kong Design Centre (HKDC) cordially invites you or your representative to the Opening Ceremony of Business of Design Week 2013 (BODW 2013). Held in Hong Kong for the 11^th time, this year’s forum will feature Belgium as the partner country, with Belgian Spirit as the theme. BODW 2013 will host participants from around the globe including designers from various fields, business leaders, and key opinion leaders to promote the value and power of design.

Our Guest of Honour, Mr. C Y Leung, Chief Executive of the Hong Kong SAR, together with our Officiating Guests including, (1.) Mr. Victor Lo, Chairman, Board of Directors of Hong Kong Design Centre, (2.) Queen Mathilde of Belgium, (3.) Mr. Fred Lam, Executive Director, Hong Kong Trade Development Council, (4.) Mr. Freeman Lau, Secretary General, Hong Kong Federation of Design Association, (5.) Mr. Francis Lee, Chairman, Hong Kong Designers Association, (6.) Mr. Kevin Yeung, Chairman, Hong Kong Fashion Designers Association and (7.) Mr. Antony Chan, Chairman, Hong Kong Interior Design Association will be present to unveil the elite line-up of world class speakers and announce programme details of BODW 2013 to members of the press.

  09:00    Officiating guests proceed to the front of the hall and be seated

  09:03    MC invites GOH and officiating guests (#1-3) to proceed on stage and be seated

  09:05    MC to invite Dr Victor Lo to give welcome remarks; returns to seat thereafter

  09:09    MC invites GOH to deliver remarks; returns to seat thereafte

  09:13    MC invites Queen Mathilde of Belgium to give speech; returns to seat thereafter

  09:17    MC invites all officiating guests to proceed to front stage for the unveiling ceremony
