New York-based eVolo Architecture haspublished a book on the future of the skyscraper, presenting the best60 projects arising from an ideas competition the firm has been runningannually since 2006.The idea behind the competition, whichhas received nearly 1,000 entries from around the world, is tospeculate about the reality and future of the skyscraper, exploring newideas and concepts for vertical density, eVolo said. The briefcalls for designs that take into consideration the historical andsocial context, the existing human scale and the environment.
