Cooper Union, as a part of Continuing Education, is giving this course which includes detailed discussion ofthe new 2009 LEED credit categories with afocus on preparation for the 2009 LEED New Construction Exam. Topicsinclude: sustainable sites, water efficiency, energy and atmosphere,materials and resources, indoor environmental quality, innovation indesign credits, and the LEED certification process. The courseemphasizes exam preparation including learning aids and practice tests.LEED exams for existing buildings, commercial interiors, core andshell, homes and neighborhood development will also be brieflydiscussed. Changes in the 2009 exam compared to previous exams willalso be discussed. Students will be required to buy the 2009 LEEDmanual.
