Sponsored by Çanakkale Seramik & Kalebodur, the 1st Infra-freeArchitecture Symposium brought together many well-known names in thefields of architecture and space sciences. Associate Professor Serkan Anılır, a faculty memberat Tokyo University, and Çanakkale Seramik & Kalebodur, thelocomotive brands of the Kale Group of companies started to prepare forthis event for approximately one year in advance. The symposiumintroduced a new perspective on the architecture of the future. Theobjective of the symposium is to make architecture less dependent oninfrastructure, which, by its very nature, has a detrimental effect onthe former. Chaired by Associate Professor Serkan Anılır, thesymposium hosted many scientists, architects, industrial designers,science-fiction writers, astronauts and participants of large-scaleNASA projects from countries such as Italy, Japan, USA, China, Ireland,and Germany.
