Why Build Green? Ten Key Questions Answered
Architecture News - Nov 22, 2007 - 17:08 11541 views
Green buildings place less burden on the environment and
infrastructure services over their entire life cycle by consuming less water and energy and using materials more efficiently. As a result, building owners experience significant operating cost savings. Benefits of green design are not restricted to reduced environmental impact but extend to the building occupants. Recent post occupancy studies of green buildings are showing increased productivity, reduced absenteeism, higher sales in daylit stores and higher academic performance in daylit schools.
