Designart Tokyo 2024 will be held from October 18 to 27 in Japan

Designart Tokyo, one of Japan’s largest design and art festivals, will take place in Tokyo, one of the world’s most culturally diverse cities, covering various genres such as design, art, interior design, and fashion.

Designart Tokyo will be held from October 18 to 27, 2024 accross venues in Tokyo, Japan. The major venues are Omotesando, Gaienmae, Harajuku, Shibuya, Roppongi, Hiroo, Ginza, Tokyo station area.

The 10-day event is shaped around a mojor theme, titled Reframing - dubbed as the Beginning of a Shift.

The event provides a platform to educate and enrich visitors’ lives through the power of creativity and high-quality craftsmanship. The aim is to energize the creative industry by sparking people’s passion for craft. In addition to large-scale installations and unique works of art and design, visitors will be able to purchase items from exhibitors, thus stimulating the creative economy in Tokyo.

"Under-30," a major project for the festival's founders, is focused on finding and supporting young designers and artists who are the future of Japanese culture.

Young designers, artists, and curators from a variety of creative genres are invited to apply to Designart Tokyo, which will connect them with manufacturers, galleries, and stores to provide a venue for showcasing their work.

This year, within the framework of "Under-30," a program that supports and discovers future stars among creators 30 years of age or younger and attracts significant attention annually, five units of young creators have been chosen for their potential in the future. These creators are AAAQ, Hiroto Ikebe, Hojo Akira, Saki Takeshita, and Straft.
