Megha Balooni - India
Since April 2, 2020
Megha Balooni has been appointed as India's Country Reporter, as part of the WAC's Country Editors/Reporters program. Megha Balooni is an architect currently residing in India. After graduating with Bachelor's in Architecture, she was a part of a publishing house and literary agency before getting back to design studios.
Balooni is fascinated with urban spaces – visual narratives and conversations, historical or contemporary, that base the foundation of most of our cities. Present times offer space to innovate and emerge in conversations at a much faster pace than ever seen before. She also visualises architecture as a sum of diverse subjects, the effects of which can be gauged through centuries of civilisations and contributing strongly to cultural, collective, and individual narratives.
"Therefore, it becomes important to take accountability and tap on opportunities to curate discourses, something which I look forward to contribute in our community," says Megha Balooni.
You can follow Megha on Twitter and Instagram.
If you also want to be part of our volunteer reporters and become "the voice of your country on WAC while being the face of WAC in your country", please send your motivation message and your CV to [email protected]. We also accept more than one reporter by country. But first, please read WAC's application details here.
