Dezeen reveals shortlist for Dezeen Awards 2019
United Kingdom Architecture News - Sep 11, 2019 - 04:05 13029 views
Dezeen has announced shortlist for its Dezeen Awards 2019, the award program now in its second edition and identifies the world's most outstanding new architecture, interiors, design and studios under 4 main categories, with 40 sub-categories. All the shortlisted projects can be viewed from Dezeen Awards page.
Dezeen plans to announce winners in the week of 14th of October as online. The overall category winners, including winner for architecture, winner for interiors and winner for design, will be announced on October 30 during the Dezeen Awards party.
Dezeen will also arrange its first-ever Dezeen Day, an architecture, interior and design conference, on October 30 and the conference will explore critical topics, including the circular economy, education, future cities and the use of plastic with top international speakers. Dezeen Day will take place at BFI Southbank in central London. You can still buy your tickets for the Dezeen Day and save 20 per cent.
The Architecture shortlist includes a cultural centre that doubles as public seating in Iran, a house in England made from recycled cork, and a thatched restaurant overlooking Peru's Sacred Valley, while Interior shortlist includes 53 interiors projects showcasing a gothic-inspired cafe, a compact black house designed to stand out like a minimalist sculpture and Europe's first underwater restaurant.
Design shortlist, showcasing 52 design projects and products, includes a self-cleaning water bottle, a pendant light made with used coffee grounds, and the world's first silent wireless breast for Dezeen Awards 2019, while Studios shortlist includes Studio Gang, Barber & Osgerby, Note Design Studio and emerging talents Child Studio and Mamou-Mani for Dezeen Awards.
World Architecture Community is official media partner for this year's Dezeen Awards and will be bringing the hot topics, results and other news related to the program to its readers.
