Rick Lowe Named MacArthur Fellow

Project Row Houses, which turned 20 last year, has not stopped evolving and growing, largely due to the outsize imagination and collaborative spirit of co-founder Rick Lowe (LF ’02). The creative ripples continue to expand, from the original 22 shotgun houses to an expanding campus in Houston’s Third Ward neighborhood and to projects throughout the country in New Orleans, Seattle, Charleston and Los Angeles. Now the MacArthur Foundation has recognized the singular achievements and promise of Lowe’s “social sculpture” by awarding him one of its iconic “genius grants.” Learn more about the MacArthur Fellowship and Project Row Houses
