The Architecture Foundation (AF) has announced its major lecture series presenting Bijoy Jain and Takaharu Tezuka to give a talk at the Royal Geographical Society. The other prestigious guest of the lecture series is the prominent architect Farshid Moussavi, Director of Farshid Moussavi Architecture (FMA) and Professor in Practice of Architecture at Harvard.
The lecture will be held on 22 June 2017 at the Royal Geographical Society in London. Accalimed woman architect Farshid Moussavi will share her works and design philosophy as a leading thinker on the contemporary nature of architectural style and performance.
Moussavi is director of FMA and was co-founder of Foreign Office Architects which shot to fame with their 2002 Yokohama Ferry Terminal in Japan. She has written extensively on ornament, form and style in her Function Books series and is a trustee of the Architecture Foundation.
This lecture comes as FMA completes a number of major projects including La Folie Divine, an undulating residential tower in Montpellier, and an apartment complex prominently located adjacent to Paris' Grand Arche de La Défense.
Farshid Moussavi was commissioned to curate the Architecture Gallery of Royal Academy of Arts' Summer Exhibition, which will be held between 13 June-20 August 2017 at the Main Galleries, Burlington House, London.
Tickets for Farshid Moussavi, Bijoy Jain and Takaharu Tezuka's forthcoming talks are also still available. See other lecture dates and details on the AF website.
