Foster + Partners opens more studio spaces to the public for Open House London 2017

Foster + Partners will open its London studio space to the public on September 16-17, 2017 to experience the creative process of the global firm. Celebrating both Open House and Foster + Partners' 25th and 50th anniversary respectively, this year, the studio are opening more of its studio space than ever before.

For the past 20 years, Foster + Partners has opened its London studio to visitors for Open House weekend, giving them a glimpse into the creative process behind some of the projects at the practice. But, this year visitors will be experiencing more studio space and projects and will take closer look at the studio's creative process.

"You will have the opportunity to see the way we work, with interactive displays to give an insight into the work of specialist teams, alongside a special exhibition focusing on current work," said Foster + Partners.

A number of buildings in London designed by Foster + Partners will also be accessible during Open House 2017. These include 30 St Mary Axe, ‘The Gherkin’ (City of London); the Sackler Galleries at the Royal Academy of Arts, HM Treasury (Westminster); One Bishops Square (Tower Hamlets); and City Hall (Southwark).

Open House London is an annual celebration of the capital’s architecture. It takes place during the weekend of 16-17 September 2017, when more than 700 buildings, many of which are normally closed, are opened to the public – all for free. It is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the richness of London’s architectural heritage.
