Takeshi Hosaka Architects designed ''Shonan Christ Church'' a public church in Japan by hiding its plaited roof from outside but inside takes a full skylight in order to keep vivid inside.
This is a church of about 5 minutes' walk from the sea of Shonan. The roof of the six represents the six days of Genesis Creation of the Bible, worship that takes place in the church represents the seventh day. It is a space of soft skylight time of worship, Direct light ray enters time the worship ends.Chapel is a space of prayer that direct light pours to become in the afternoon.It becomes space of dark blue dusk, direct moonlight plug it vividly in the pitch-dark chapel at night.
