A University of Nottingham building has won a prestigious award from the Royal Institute of British Architects.The Barn, at the university's Sutton Bonington campus took home the coveted RIBA East Midlands Award prize.It was designed by Make Architects and unites the previously separate dining hall, bar, student services and social spaces under one roof.The 4,250sq m building was designed to maximise views of the surrounding landscape, and the nomination said it was an "inventive use of natural materials".It also won the RIBA East Midlands Sustainability Award.......Continue Reading
