JOI-Design is pleased to announce that Thomas Scholz has been promoted to Director of Contracting and Finance. Corinna Kretschmar-Joehnk and Peter Joehnk, co-managing directors of the Hamburg-based hospitality interior architecture specialist, are delighted to confirm his new position.

About JOI-Design

JOI-Design was founded in Hamburg in 1984 by Peter Joehnk, who, alongside Corinna Kretschmar- Joehnk, has cultivated the practice into one of Europe’s most respected leaders in hospitality design. Thirty years of experience has led to a firm belief that design is the hotelier’s best marketing tool. As designers who are “shaping atmosphere”, this principle manifests itself through their genuine interest in the art, architecture and social inheritance of the location which is ingeniously woven into the interior character of each project. JOI-Design’s diverse four and five-star projects encompass modern airport and business new-builds, grand historic establishments, restaurants and spas for many of the major hotel brands, as well as independent properties, across the continent.
