With TU Delft we have organized a public seminar at Het Nieuwe Instituut in Rotterdam centered around the 2013 CCA publication Casablanca-Chandigarh: A Report on Modernization. The presentations and discussion will focus on the emergence, character and role of Casablanca and Chandigarh, two radically modern cities planned in the beginning of the 1950s. After a presentation by authors Maristella Casciato and Tom Avermaete, there will be reactions to particular themes and perspectives by Stanislaus von Moos, Antoni Folkers, and Frits Palmboom.
