This is the last call for Fairy Tales 2017 competition and ending on November 2nd, 2016. The regular registration for Fairy Tales 2017 will be ended on Wednesday, November 2nd and the final submission deadline is on December 9th.
The competition now celebrates its fourth edition and invites all architects, designers, writers, artists, engineers, illustrators, students and creatives to submit their own unique architectural fairy tales. A successful entry crafts a text narrative, along with 5 images, in the most spectacular way possible.
The competition will be announcing the winners at the first annual Night of Fairy Tales event at the National Building Museum in February 2017 and wants to bring together this diverse group of talent under one roof to see where other imaginations have taken this challenge.
The Fairy Tales 2017 consists of a distinctive jury of 25 of the most influential architects and designers from around the world. They're eager to review this year's entries (no small task!). The jury this year includes: Dan Wood, Jing Liu, Alan Maskin, Michel Rojkind, Marion Weiss, John Maeda, Minsuk Cho, Michael Van Valkenburgh, Stefano Boeri, Michael Maltzan, and so many more.
If you want to see previous year's winners, please see mermerising stories and images via these articles; Olson Kundig with Fifth Facade in 2016 and Dear Architecture winners for Fairy Tales 2015.
You can register for the competition here.
The full competition brief can be downloaded here, and the final submission deadline is Friday December 9th, 2016.
