Architectural studio Chado designs a stone hulk-like hotel complex in Russia

Architectural Studio Chado has proposed a bridge-like hotel complex in Russia, created in the framework of the Don Gulf&Country club project. Architectural Studio Chado's design consists of a giant structure made up of stone and wood, which is divided into several volumes in order to differentiate hotel rooms and common areas in the building.
The hotel complex is situated near stanitsa Starocherkasskaya where they have their own architectural language; one of the main tasks of the future complex is to put this building in the formed architectural context.
The studio's design approach is based on the stylized stone hulk which remained after Cossack ancient complex in which a wooden, modern complex with the central volume of two-side roof as a dominant part was integrated, which in its turn supports architectural styles of existing building the golf-club was taken as the basis of the building.
Covering 5499 square-meter are in total, the hotel is a three-storey massive building and features only 24 rooms. The interiors of the project designed by Valery Romashko.
