Dubai’s Controversial Frame Project nears completion

Mexican architect Fernando Donis who won a competition in 2009 to design this structure as his new idea was selected from 926 designs in the ThyssenKrupp Elevator Architecture Awards and Dubai Municipality.
Dubai’s Municipality has confirmed that work on the $43.5 million Dubai Frame project is nearly complete and is on track to open next month. The project, shaped like a window frame, is situated near the Star Gate games and rides area of Zabeel Park. Dubai Frame will allow panoramic views of Old Dubai and the skyline of New Dubai from each side.
