Henning Larsen Architects’ Munich Office Strengthens Its International Profile

Henning Larsen Architects has officially announced that Henning Larsen Architects’ subsidiary in Germany has obtained a strong foothold in the southern German market and the company is now taking the next step. From November 1, architect Viggo Haremst will be part of the partner group and from the turn of the year, he will begin a position as Design Director of the German subsidiary. He will be part of the management and his responsibility will include the development of international projects in Europe and part of Asia, including Turkey.
Until 2012, Viggo Haremst was design responsible for a range of international competitions and award-winning projects at Henning Larsen Architects’ office in Copenhagen. CEO and partner of Henning Larsen Architects, Mette Kynne Frandsen states: “We are experiencing an increasing global demand for Scandinavian architecture. We have already established a strong presence in several markets and our plan is to further strengthen and expand our international presence.”
Design Principal and Partner of Henning Larsen Architects, Louis Becker states: “Viggo Haremst is an architect with an innovative mind, who creates projects with strong architectonic qualities. In combination with his experience from international projects, he will be a key person in developing our relations to international clients and business partners.”
Henning Larsen Architects’ subsidiary in Germany was established in 2011 in Munich, and is headed by Managing Director and Partner, Werner Frosch. The office employs 35 architects and the current project portfolio include prestige projects like the Siemens HQ in Munich, the Frankfurt School of Finance and Management and a new architectural school in Regensburg.
Partner and Design Director, Viggo Haremst states: “I am looking forward to strengthen the international profile of the Munich office. Together with the great team in Munich we will aim to develop creative, innovative and cost efficient solutions to meet the high demands of our clients, stakeholders and collaborators.”
Viggo Haremst comes from a position as Partner and Design Director of Arrow, which he co-founded in 2012. Henning Larsen Architects’ partner group comprises Louis Becker, Mette Kynne Frandsen, Werner Frosch, Viggo Haremst, Peer Teglgaard Jeppesen, Signe Kongebro, Jacob Kurek, Ingela Larsson, Lars Steffensen, Anders Sælan and Søren Øllgaard.
