New York-based collaborative and design studio Snarkitecture has filled a giant steel cage with hundreds of white bouncy balls at Harbour City of Hong Kong, which is the first installation of the studio exhibited in Hong Kong.

Creating a new sense of play and interactivity with the discovery of the waterfront of the city, Snarkitecture's new installation provides a new "open space" for children and adults to bring a new sensual awareness on “pure and white design” staging on Harbour City’s unique outdoor location.

Developed in collaboration with the Harbour City, the installation has opened on August 10 and will be on view till September 2, 2018 at Harbour City, Hong Kong, while another installation, featuring a massive invasion of balls, is also held at the Gallery by the Harbour simultaneously.

Named Bounce, the installation is filled with hundreds of white bouncy balls in which each of them is enlarged 300% to change the atmosphere between inside and outside. Each ball is sized to 1-meter diameter and placed in a giant white-coloured steel cage.

Another exhibition, presented at the Gallery by the Harbour, also echos with the theme "Bounce" and uses the massive invasion of white and silver large spheres to fill up the gallery.

Visitors can enter the world of bouncy balls and take photos of the special design and installation. Besides, the gallery is also selling the limited edition merchandise of the exhibition which includes “Bounce” tee, pin and bouncy balls.

Snarkitecture is best known with its "playful" installations, blurring the "boundaries between art and architecture". The studio's recent installation called "Fun House" is also being exhibited at the National Building Museum in Washington. The exhibition can still be visited until August 29, 2018.
