Testolini discussed how the evolution of IoT, artificial intelligence, and robotics, altering the way we move, live, work and play in our artificial environment will affect the future of urbanism.

"With more than 9 billion people living in cities by 2050, urban planning will have to go through a major change,” said Testolini.

"The fourth industrial revolution is quickly unfolding with the evolution of IoT, artificial intelligence, and robotics, altering the way we move, live, work and play in our artificial environment. We are witnessing a new era of both great potential and grave perils to humankind."

Testolini said "we need to ask what the future is bringing to us in terms of how will work, live and play?". Testolini also discussed the four major industrial revolutions happened in the past. And the fourth industrial revolution  is already triggering our technology era. The change on the Topography and Movement was one of the aspects that he mentioned in his lecture.

He also added that "we need to try to see thing different in 2050: different types of transportations, communications, accommodations, etc. "There are many perils we need to think".
