Aidipsos is a small city with a port in the north part of evoia island off the east coast of Greece. It is known for its healing baths and is a well known holiday resort.
The site is 9,ooo m2 off the main road connecting the north and south side of the island overlooking the sea from a distance of 100m and on a steep slope of 40% . Thus the views of the sea and the surrounding mountains and the fluid lines of the coast create an image of such dynamism that penetrates every idea that comes into mind.
The houses layout is continous that runs almost the entire land in a single line having glazed surfaces and terraces to the seascape as if on a ship deck grasping the moods of the scenery. The only exaggeration of the volume is the main bedroom floor .
The steep slope forced the creation of a lower level with the pool and the activities deck which is covered by a projecting concrete canopy for the max protection of the strong summer sunlight.
The house contains small open courtyards at its two sides for the max protection of winds and sun.
